THE UNITED STATES COAST AUXILIARY “FILL THE BOAT TOY DRIVE” HOSTS ANNUAL TOY DRIVE
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley is the beneficiary of the“Fill the Boat Toy Drive” in Modesto.
December 6, 2018- MODESTO, CALIF., –The United States Coast Auxiliary hosts its annual Fill the Boat Toy Drive on December 8, 2019 at the Modesto Wal-Mart parking lot in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley. For the past five years, this toy drive has gifted over 600 toys to the children and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley.
“We’re so honored to benefit from this toy drive again this year, said Dr. Kent Karsevar. With the continued support of the United States Coast Auxiliary, we are able to provide toys to every child staying at our House during the holiday season by giving them one less worry.”
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley aims to alleviate the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of having a seriously ill child. This generous drive will support families during the holiday season.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, Modesto Fire Department, Sunny 102.3 Radio, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance. Guests can enjoy a number of family friendly attractions like photos with Santa and refreshments. The United States Coast Auxiliary Flotilla 10-02 boat will be in the parking lot where people can place their donation. The Fill the Boat toy drive brings community partners together to show their support for families in need.

The Ronald McDonald House is a cornerstone of the Ronald McDonald House Charities®. It provides a “home away from home,” a refuge for families who are trying to cope with the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of having a seriously ill child. Our house accommodates 18 families for a nominal donation which can be waived if the family is unable to pay. Ronald McDonald House Charities is a nonprofit corporation that along with many other direct services supports many valuable causes around the Valley.
