“The Day Room gave us a chance to breath. Sitting by your child’s bedside hours on end gets exhausting, and this room gave my husband and I a moment to relax and unwind so we could get back to supporting our sick little one.” -The Gomez Family
The Ronald McDonald House Day Room provides a mental and physical break from the stresses of a hospital environment, giving families use of the space for up to eight hours per day. When checked in, families are able to rest, eat a home cooked meal, do laundry, take a shower, and just get a general break from the intense environment surrounding the care of their hospitalized child.
In 2016, 722 families used our Day Room. We have served nearly 2,000 families in the Day Room since the program began in 2013.
