Local Runners Deliver Wish List Items to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley is the beneficiary of the Wish List Run hosted by Monique Jacques on December 15

December 13, 2018- MADERA, CALIF., –Central Valley runner Monique Jacques known as “Runner Moe,” hosts the 4th annual Wish List Run on December 15, 2018 in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley.  Over 100 local runners will meet at Woodward Park and run 2 miles to the Ronald McDonald House, carting wagons and strollers full of Wish List items to the Ronald McDonald House. The runners will then run back to Woodward Park to enjoy coffee and donuts in celebration of the donation. For the past 4 years, “Runner Moe” has organized this run and our community has donated over 600 items for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley.

“There are no medals, no timers, no awards, only awesome people who want to come out to donate and help the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley,” said Monique Jacques. “We are so excited to come together as a community during the holidays to help families who need it the most.”

Wish List items help the Ronald McDonald House support families during their time of need. The Ronald McDonald House requests household items, panty items and toiletries to ease the burden of families when their child is being treated at Valley Children’s Hospital.

“We are so thankful to be able to support families during the holiday season because of the support we get from our community,” said Dr. Kent Karsevar Executive Director. “Many families come to the Ronald McDonald House unexpectedly and having these items are not only a convenience they are a necessity.”
