Central Valley McDonald’s Restaurants Give Back to Local Families through McFlurry® Purchases
McDonald’s restaurants throughout Fresno and surrounding areas will donate 10 cents per McFlurry to families at Ronald McDonald House
FRESNO, Calif. – May 21, 2019 – Local McDonald’s franchise owners are inviting their guests to enjoy a sweet McFlurry treat and also help give back to the local families at Ronald McDonald House of the Central Valley (RMHCCV).
McDonald’s restaurants throughout Fresno, Visalia, Merced and other surrounding areas are donating 10 cents of every McFlurry purchase back to RMHC Northern Nevada which gives families a “home away from home” while their child receives treatment at a nearby hospital.
“The Ronald McDonald House Charities’ contributions to our community are incredibly important and, as local franchise owners, we want to take every opportunity we can to support them,” said McDonald’s owner and RMHCCV Board Member Mike Agostini. “We hope our guests come in to our restaurants for a treat and leave knowing they’ve helped a family in need.”
The proceeds will support the 22,000-square foot House located in Madera which offers private bedrooms and bathrooms, laundry facilities, home-cooked meals and a playroom for siblings to 18 families every night.
So far in 2019, McFlurry purchases have resulted in nearly $45,000 in donations to RMHCCV.
“We are extremely grateful McDonald’s implemented this program and greatly appreciate their partnership and constant support for the charity,” said Dr. Kent Karsevar, RMHCCV Executive Director. “The money raised from each McFlurry purchase goes a long way to support our families staying together at the House.”
The donation is from both the 8 oz. and 12 oz. size McFlurry and is ongoing throughout the year and inclusive of all flavors, including the all-new Stroopwaffel McFlurry launching in June as part of the McDonald’s Worldwide Favorites Menu.
