RMHC Central Valley Becomes a Beneficiary of Amazon’s Donation Program
In 2020 Amazon’s fulfillment canter (FAT1), chose RMHC Central Valley as a recipient of their community donation program, delivering monthly pallets of donations.
October 31, 2022—MADERA, Calif.—The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley
(RMHC Central Valley) created a partnership with Amazon resulting in generous donations for their guest families. Since the start of the program in 2020, Amazon has donated nearly $180,000 worth of household items to support the families of children staying at RMHC Central Valley while their child is hospitalized at Valley Children’s.
“When Amazon’s fulfillment center (FAT1) in Fresno started our donation program in 2020, our team felt strongly about the mission of Ronald McDonald House,” said Rose Yuenger, Amazon Environmental Manager at FAT1, “Each week, our facility prepares pallets of donated household items that help make the families’ stay just a little more comfortable. We’re proud of the positive impact our donations have had on these families and look forward to continuing to serve the Ronald McDonald Houses.”
Amazon donates household items such as cleaners/detergents, hygiene supplies for men & women, clothing, toys, school supplies, lotions/soaps, office products, dishes, furniture, clocks, vases, picture frames and bedding supplies. With these generous gifts from Amazon, RMHC Central Valley is able to provide all the comforts of home for the families of children that are hospitalized far from home.
